Get involved

There are many ways you can get involved at MAC.
Here are just a few:

• Join a committee (theatre, gallery, BirdHouse, MACademy Youth Theatre, Salon Concerts...)
• Volunteer as an usher, doing box office, or be a house manager (visit VolunteerSpot - you do not need an account so sign up)
  
• Help with a theatre production, making costumes, building sets, running lights (we train you too!), or of course acting!
• Help with building maintenance
• Become a Friend of MAC
• Or just ask to be added to our volunteer list to help with tasks as they arise.

 
Our goal is for all our volunteers to have a good time when they are at MAC.
Come and join us when you want to and have time to give.

Kids' Programs

 Auditions for the winter 2014 production of
BABES IN TOYLAND
will be held on
October 20 and 23 at 4:30pm
*You only need to attend one night!  
Director: Barrett Scroggs

Auditions:              Mon Oct 20  4:30-6:00pm

                              & Thurs Oct 23 4:30-6:00pm
                              (some children may be asked to stay until 6:30)

Rehearsals:           Tues & Thurs  5:00-6:30pm

                              Oct 28–Dec 11

                              (no rehearsal Nov 25 & 27)

Performances:       Dec 12 7pm & Dec 13 3&7pm

Ages:                     Grades 3-8

Up to 45 local children will be cast in the second annual production of MAC’s adaptation of Babes in Toyland! Mother Gooseland and the Toys of Toyland come together to teach Barnaby and his henchmen about the spirit of giving for this musical holiday treat! Participation Fee: $35 (when cast)

No experience or preregistration required. To expedite sign-in at auditions, please complete the Audition and Permission & Release forms below and bring them with you to auditions.

Membership

Friends of MAC

 Friends donations represent a significant part of the Manhattan Arts Center's budget. They are important not just for their monetary value, but also because they are an indication of community support of the Arts Center.

 Annual Friends donations help sustain MAC and provide rewarding arts opportunities for all area residents. Friends donations are renewed annually and can be made in the following categories:
Fan ($25 to $99)
Aficionado ($100 to $249)
Director ($250 to $499)
Master Artist ($500 to $999)
Maestro ($1,000 and up).

If you'd like to have your Friends donation deducted in small amounts from your account ($10/month minimum), just ask the MAC office for the application form, complete it, and return it to the office. You can then sit back, secure in the knowledge that your contribution to the Friends of MAC will continue until you take action to terminate it, which of course you can do at any time. You also know that you are helping ensure that all MAC's wonderful programs will stay in place. No more writing checks, no more reminder letters. Just the sincere and lasting appreciation of the Manhattan Arts Center.
