Outreach

The mission of the Manhattan Arts Center is Arts For All.

To complement its on-site activities, MAC has an outreach program designed to grow with each year. Community outreach programs sponsored by MAC include the Young People's Concert Series, scholarships for children's activities in the arts, and theatre performances for community organizations.

MAC also works with PTO/PTA Fine Arts representatives to bring cultural programs to Manhattan's elementary schools. Some of the groups performing in local elementary schools have included: Kaleidoscope, a comprehensive program about Russia and the Ukraine,; storyteller Evester Roper, KSU Tap Dance Ensemble and saxophone ensembles, Poetry Alive!, and the KSU Growing Tree Theatre Company.

The Manhattan Arts Center brings art projects to kids of all ages from its mobile art unit, the MAC Truck. Loaded with supplies from markers and colored foil to glitter and glue, we offer a hands-on art experience for children of all ages.
